Chain wear tool to measure the extent of chain wear and thus when a chain needs replacing.
Regular checking of chain wear (stretch) and timely chain replacing avoids the premature wear of other more expensive drivetrain components such as cassette sprockets, chainrings, rear mech pulleys.
